When John refuses, Iosef and his henchmen break into John’s home, steal his car, and kill Daisy. Fueled by grief and a thirst for revenge, John comes out of retirement and sets out to take down the entire Russian mafia, starting with Iosef’s father, Viggo Tarasov. Along the way, John is pursued by his former colleagues in the hitman community, including his mentor Marcus and a mysterious assassin named Ms. Perkins. Despite the obstacles, John manages to exact his revenge on the Tarasovs and retrieve his stolen car.

John completes the job but is double-crossed by Santino, who puts a large bounty on his head, forcing him to fight his way out of New York City. John seeks help from old allies and enemies, including the Bowery King and Winston, the owner of the Continental hotel. The film ends with John being excommunicated from the Continental and declared “excommunicado” by the High Table, setting up the events for the next movie.

With a $14 million bounty on his head and nowhere left to run, John Wick must fight for his survival against waves of assassins and make his way to the High Table to seek revenge and clear his name. Along the way, he seeks the help of old allies and enemies, including the Bowery King and Sofia, a former acquaintance who owes him a debt. The film introduces new characters such as the Adjudicator, who represents the High Table, and Zero, a skilled assassin who is hired to kill John. After confronting the High Table and its leader, the Elder, John is given a chance to redeem himself by completing a new mission for the organization, setting up the events for the next movie.
