Plot Synopsis
“The Devil Wears Prada” tells the story of Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), a recent college graduate and aspiring journalist who lands a job as the assistant to Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the powerful and demanding editor-in-chief of a prestigious fashion magazine called “Runway.”
Initially, Andy is thrilled to have landed a job at such a prestigious publication, despite having no interest in fashion. However, she quickly discovers that working for Miranda is a grueling and demanding task, as Miranda is known for her exacting standards and her tendency to treat her employees with contempt.
As Andy struggles to keep up with Miranda’s demands and adapt to the high-pressure world of fashion, she also finds herself drifting away from her friends and her boyfriend Nate (Adrian Grenier), who feel that she is becoming too obsessed with her job.
